Seyed Mohammad Mojani, head of the competition’s technical committee, said the Quranic programs are organized on the sidelines of the competition at the instruction of the head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
The Awqaf departments in Tehran and other provinces have been holding the programs starting on February 15 and they will continue until February 21, he said.
Prominent qaris recite the Quran in the Quranic circles, the official noted.
A report including more details about the programs will be presented during a meeting of the participants in the competition with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution later this week, he went on to say.
The final stage of Iran’s 40th International Quran Competition was launched in Tehran on Thursday and will run through February 21.

A total 69 memorizers and reciters from 44 countries are competing in the finals in the main categories of Quran recitation (for men) and Quran memorization and Tarteel recitation (for men and women).
The annual event, organized by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, aims to promote the Quranic culture and values among Muslims and showcase the talents of Quran reciters and memorizers.
